Assistant General Counsel, Real Estate of Park Hotels & Resorts, Inc., a leading lodging company with a diverse portfolio of iconic and market-leading hotels and resorts consisting of 34 premium-branded assets with over 23,000 rooms. The position will be based in Tysons, VA.

What will I be doing?

  • Operating as the primary business lawyer and risk manager for a portion of the overall 34-hotel portfolio of Park Hotels
  • Leading and/or working on a wide variety of legal matters and projects arising from the day-to-day operation of hotel assets, including negotiations or problem solving with third-party hotel operators or franchisors
  • Managing, drafting, negotiating and/or reviewing a wide range of documents, including hotel management agreements, service agreements, construction agreements, development agreements, utility contracts, easements, leases and subleases
  • Drafting and negotiating a variety of other commercial and corporate contracts, including confidentiality agreements, vendor contracts, consulting agreements and license agreements
  • Resolving disputes with vendors, landlords, tenants, lenders, managers, service providers, joint venture partners and others
  • Managing, drafting and negotiating joint venture agreements and company formation documents
  • Participating in acquisition and disposition transactions, including purchase and sale agreement negotiation, contract review and other due diligence
  • Supervising outside counsel on various litigation matters and other disputes
  • Participating in the oversight of various insurance claims and related matters
  • Effectively managing outside attorneys and other third-party service providers in connection with internal processes and workflows

  • 5 years of legal experience in lodging industry required
