Venture Global LNG ("Venture Global") is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company's Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global's modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.
We are seeking qualified applicants for the position:
Project Engineer, Pipeline
Located:

Summary
We are seeking to welcome a Pipeline Project Engineer to the Pipeline Team. The ideal candidate will be a team-oriented engineer with expertise in pipeline systems and pipeline engineering design with gas industry experience. This person will have experience working in both an office and field/site environment providing gas pipeline design, valve automation/remote control, and pipeline facility system design. The Pipeline Project Engineer will work alongside the current VG Pipeline Team and support multiple projects at the same time.
General Description Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide oversight for EPCM and Construction Contractors
  • Review and comment on Engineering deliverables, plans and procedures including pipeline, Meter Stations, and compressor stations
  • Review and comment on Construction Contractor plans, schedules, and procedures
  • Provide project management support to Venture Global pipeline projects as needed
  • Support other functions with permitting, planning and execution activities
  • Prepare reports, assist with presentations related to the pipeline projects
  • Act as owner's engineer / Owner representative as needed
  • Support review and approval of Contractor invoices, change orders and schedules
  • Preparation of Hydrostatic Test Letters and review of test packages
  • Assist with cost estimates and cash flows
  • Assist with development of Task Orders
  • Assist with site audits and field visits
  • Support PHMSA and FERC visits and data request

Qualifications
Required experience
  • 7 or more years of natural gas pipeline industry experience preferred, with demonstrable experience in Project Engineering and Construction Management
  • 4 or more years of pipeline field experience
  • Knowledge of applicable natural gas industry construction practices, FERC, and agency requirements
  • Knowledge of engineering design standards and applicable natural gas industry codes and regulations; must stay current on technology, industry standards and materials
  • Understands concepts of asset lifecycle management, system reliability and gas transmission operations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

  • PMP certification a plus
