Job description

Venture Capital Debt Finance โ€“ Senior Attorney

Goodwin seeks a highly qualified senior attorney to join our Venture Capital Debt practice within the broader Debt Finance group. Qualified candidates will have experience representing borrowers and their investors in venture debt, growth capital, and other similar financing transactions for early- and late-stage companies.

Responsibilities

Negotiating and drafting loan and related documents, advising on transaction structures, supporting deal execution and internal forms initiatives. The position will include working closely with M&A, corporate and finance attorneys across our Emerging Companies, Life Sciences, M&A, and Venture Capital practices. The role requires dedicating time to preparing forms and leveraging AI-driven models to support markups of term sheets, credit agreements, collateral documents, certificates and customary credit deliverables.

Qualifications

Candidates applying for attorney positions with Goodwin should have outstanding academic credentials, comparable law firm experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly) in the resident officeโ€™s location is required.

Compensation

The target salary range for this position is commensurate with relevant experience: $250,000 - $350,000.
