Job description

This position is up to 20% sales commission.

Travel: This position will travel within Latin America once a month, but could be up to 50% travel if business conditions necessitate. 

Location:

  • Strong preference for an individual to be based in Texas, but willing to consider other locations.
  • Texas (USA) – Hybrid / Field-based
  • California (USA) – Hybrid / Field-based

Territory:

  • Central and Southern America – Including but not limited to: Brazil, Columbia, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Venezuela, Paraguay, Costa Rica.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Senior Territory Sales Manager EMEA/LATAM, the Territory Sales Executive is responsible for driving K&N’s sales growth, profitability, and market development across the LATAM region.

The role works directly with regional distributors and retailers, developing relationships, owning joint business plans, assortment expansion, product launches, and market activation initiatives across the region.


Key Responsibilities

Distributor & Territory Management (Core Focus)

  • Own and manage commercial relationships with regional distribution networks throughout LATAM and support key retail accounts in Mexico where the commercial lead is owned with the partners US HQ’s.
  • Develop and execute annual territory plans by country, including:
    • Sales targets and forecasts
    • Key distributor priorities
    • Product and assortment strategies
    • Travel and market visit cadence
  • Lead Joint Business Planning (JBP) with key distributors, aligning growth initiatives, category focus, and execution priorities.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new distributor partners in underdeveloped or white-space markets.

Revenue Growth & Commercial Execution

  • Deliver sales, unit, and gross margin targets across K&N’s vehicles categories.
  • Drive sell through acceleration across LATAM in collaboration with distributors.
  • Own promotional alignment in-market.
  • Ensure strong product mix management, focusing on profitable and strategic SKUs.

Product, Category & Market Development

  • Champion category growth across LATAM:
    • Distributor sales team training
    • Application and fitment education
    • Competitive and category positioning
  • Support new product introductions and range extensions into LATAM markets.
  • Work cross functionally to activate:
    • Online excellence through authorized distributors on key regional E-Commerce platforms including Mercado Libre.
    • Local trade show support for key distributor events in Automotive and Powersports.
    • Distributor promotions
    • Digital and point-of-sale initiatives

Business Reviews & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Prepare and present Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) covering:
    • Results vs plan
    • Key wins and risks
    • Forecast updates
    • Market and competitive insights
  • Act as the commercial voice of LATAM internally, working cross-functionally with:
    • Sales operations
    • Marketing
    • Supply chain
    • Finance
  • Fluent Spanish and English (spoken and written)
  • 5+ years experience in territory sales or account management
  • Strong background in the automotive aftermarket (consumables strongly preferred)
  • Proven experience managing distributor-led markets across multiple countries
  • Strong commercial skills: forecasting, negotiation, and business planning
  • Analytical and data-driven approach to sales management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Willing and able to travel extensively within LATAM
  • Valid driving license
