Description

Fusion is currently hiring for a Production Operator and we would love to have you join our  team. The Production Operator is a great position as you will be involved in different areas on the production floor (which includes Hand Add, Box Build and Conformal Coat).

Essential Functions in Hand Add:

  • Performs a variety of tasks, as needed, to meet Fusion's production goals.
  • Assignments will be based on demonstrated skill levels.
  • Opportunities for the development of new skills are offered via on-the-job training.
  • Examples are: applying RTV to parts, loading fixtures, washing boards, simple bench      tests, prepping parts.
  • After training, you must be able to work independently from documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Essential Functions in Box Build:

  • Build partial or full boxes or systems using PCBA's, sheet metal, plastics,      hardware, etc.
  • Communicate quality issues to the appropriate lead and/or manager as needed.
  • Contribute to a positive team working environment and maintain a clean and organized      area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Essential Functions in Conformal Coat:

  • Prepare circuit boards for the coating process.
  • Manually apply conformal coating to circuit boards with an HVLP spray gun.
  • Apply adhesive tapes to circuit boards.
  • Able to work with chemicals.
  • Inspect and quality check work to ensure that products meet all customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate quality issues to the appropriate team and manager as needed. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Must be a US person.
  • Basic computer skills are required for logging and tracking work progress.
  • Experience in assembly of electronics is preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated self motivation, problem solving abilities, team spirit and a "hands on" mentality.
  • Strong attention to detail and proficient communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Understand basics of torque and torque requirements, preferred.

Education and Experience: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods standing and the performance of repetitive tasks. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time. 
  • Must have manual dexterity to assemble products or machines as directed. 
  • Must have excellent hand-eye coordination. 
  • Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.
