Job description

Motorcycle & Powersports Sales Associate โ€“ Polaris KTM Medina

Medina, OH | Full-Time | Competitive Pay + Bonus + Benefits

Join Ohioโ€™s Flagship Polaris & KTM Dealership

Polaris KTM Medina is Ohioโ€™s premiere Polaris and KTM destination, offering new Polaris ATVs, UTVs, Slingshots, KTM motorcycles, and one of the largest selections of pre-owned motorcycles in Northeast Ohio. Backed by the State 8 Motorcycles group, we serve riders across Medina, Cleveland, Akron, and beyond. If youโ€™re passionate about powersports and enjoy helping riders find the perfect machine, we want you on our team!

Position Overview

As a Sales Associate at Polaris KTM Medina, youโ€™ll be the key point of contact for riders looking to purchase new Polaris off-road vehicles, KTM motorcycles, Slingshots, or pre-owned bikes of all makes. Your role is to create an exceptional buying experienceโ€”from greeting riders and understanding their needs, to recommending the right vehicle, explaining financing options, and closing the sale. Weโ€™re looking for motivated, personable individuals who can build strong relationships while driving sales and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist riders in selecting new and pre-owned motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, and Slingshots.
  • Provide expert product knowledge on features, performance, and riding styles.
  • Match riders with the right vehicle based on their needs, preferences, and budget.
  • Present financing, warranty, and accessory options to help riders make confident decisions.
  • Stay up to date with new inventory, promotions, and manufacturer programs.
  • Process transactions accurately and ensure all paperwork is complete.
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales goals.
  • Build long-term relationships with riders through follow-up and ongoing support.
  • Coordinate with Parts & Service departments to deliver a seamless ownership experience.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming showroom environment.

A Day in the Life of a Sales Associate

Morning: Review new arrivals, ensure the showroom floor is ready, and follow up on leads from the previous day. Greet walk-in riders and learn about their goalsโ€”whether theyโ€™re shopping for their first ATV or a high-performance motorcycle.

Midday: Guide riders through test-fits and product comparisons, explain financing or trade-in options, and collaborate with the PAC department to add accessories or gear to their purchase.

Afternoon: Finalize deals, complete paperwork, and schedule deliveries. Before wrapping up, follow up with past customers to check in and encourage referrals or repeat business.

Qualifications

  • Previous sales experience (motorcycles, automotive, or retail) preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a rider-first mindset.
  • Passion for powersports with knowledge of motorcycles, ATVs, or UTVs (training provided).
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • Positive, motivated attitude with a drive to exceed goals.
  • Comfortable with point-of-sale systems and financial paperwork.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and peak dealership hours.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $40,000 โ€“ $65,000 per year (base + commissions & performance incentives).
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) with employer match.
  • Paid time off and holidays.
  • Employee discounts on vehicles, parts, and accessories.
  • Life insurance, career development, and advancement opportunities.
  • Work with a knowledgeable, passionate team in a rider-focused environment.
