About the Position
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will support Project Managers and Superintendents in the successful planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and eager to grow within a team-oriented environment. This role offers direct exposure to clients, subcontractors, field operations, and executive leadership while contributing to complex negotiated projects in the $15M-$25M range.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with project budgeting, scheduling, and cost tracking
  • Coordinate subcontractor and vendor communications
  • Support procurement and buyout activities
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Participate in project meetings and maintain meeting minutes
  • Assist with project reporting and client communication
  • Work closely with field teams to support project execution and closeout
  • Ensure projects maintain quality, schedule, and safety standards

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of commercial construction experience preferred
  • Experience working with a General Contractor strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Team-oriented mindset with a desire to grow into a Project Management role
