Job description

Overview

IST Management is seeking a Vehicle Porter/Office Services Clerk to join the Berkeley, CA team!  This is a full-time, direct hire role with IST Management Services. The Vehicle Porter/Office Services Clerk will be mainly responsible for assisting with San Francisco bay area site operations and services provided, including driving company vehicles/fleet management.

Services provided on-site varies depending on assigned site location but includes and is not limited to mailroom services, copy/print services, hospitality, taking client company vehicles to different local vendors for service (fleet service), in addition to other administrative tasks as needed to support client needs.  Ideal candidates will be safety oriented, possess a strong customer service mindset and interpersonal skills, and work well in a fast-paced environment. Must have a valid CA driver's license and willingness to submit to a MVR in order to be eligible to operate company vehicles for servicing. 

Position Details:

This role is full time, M-F first shift hours and hours will range depending on assigned site location. No more than one site per day. Position will provide coverage for mainly one site location in Berkley, but includes additional site locations in the San Francisco bay area as needed. Professional dress code and standards are required. Reliable transportation to locations is required and must have a valid CA driver's license to be eligible to operate company vehicles.

Hourly Compensation: $22.00-24.00 USD DOE

Responsibilities

The Vehicle Porter/Office Services Clerk will be responsible for maintaining the highest levels of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude in a professional setting, in addition to:

  • Assist as needed with services to ensure site and client needs are being met and maintained
    • Fleet management - driving company vehicles to different local vendors for service
    • Mailroom Services - scan, sort, delivery of mail and packages to customers 
    • Additional administrative support as needed to support client and site needs
  • Maintain the highest levels of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude
  • Consistently adhere to business procedure guidelines
  • Participate in cross-training as needed
  • Maintain all logs and reporting documentation
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by site manager to uphold assigned site and client needs
Qualifications

Ideal candidates for the Vehicle Porter/Office Services Clerk role will possess strong customer service skills, and have reliable transportation to sites not accessible by public transit. Prior office or administrative experience a plus. Must have valid CA driver's license/willingness to submit to a MVR (Motor Vehicle Records screen) in order to be eligible to drive on behalf of IST and client, additional qualifications include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • PC skills and proficiency; Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds with aid as needed
