Operations ManagerRocky Mountain Mechanical – Emmett, Idaho

Position Summary
Rocky Mountain Mechanical is seeking a highly organized, motivated, and hands-on Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our HVAC, plumbing, generator, fireplace, and water treatment divisions. This individual will ensure jobs move efficiently from scheduling through completion while supporting office staff, technicians, and customers.
The Operations Manager is responsible for improving efficiency, maintaining quality standards, coaching employees, tracking key performance indicators, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
Primary Responsibilities
Daily Operations
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the service and installation departments.
  • Coordinate technician schedules and workloads.
  • Monitor job progress to ensure projects stay on schedule.
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts and operational issues.
  • Maintain communication between office staff, technicians, suppliers, and customers.
Team Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and mentor technicians and office personnel.
  • Conduct regular team meetings.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and employee development.
  • Perform employee evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture.
Customer Service
  • Ensure every customer receives exceptional service.

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
  • Maintain licensing and continuing education requirements.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical industry experience preferred.
  • Previous leadership or management experience.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Experience with ServiceTitan is highly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
