Technical Partner Manager (Sales Engineer) - Chicago / New York Area
About this role
Be a key driver of partner success at scale while serving as a technical ambassador for Veeam's industry-leading cyber resilience solutions. You'll partner with strategic organizations, emerging technologies, and a collaborative team focused on helping customers protect and recover their most critical data.

What You'll Do
Enable technical sellers to confidently position, sell, and win with Veeam
  • Deliver Veeam product and technical certification training
  • Identify and educate partners on sales plays aligned to their key business initiatives and pipeline growth
  • Drive awareness of Veeam solutions and differentiators across partner organizations
  • Build strong relationships with partner technical leaders and influencers to expand mindshare within accounts
  • Foster alignment between partners and key Veeam stakeholders across the company
  • Support field sales teams in executing partner account strategies to maximize Veeam revenue
  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance and subject matter expertise for:
    • Partner meetings
    • Product demonstrations
    • Proofs of concept (POCs) as customers evaluate Veeam
    • Use available enablement tools, collateral, and resources effectively to meet and exceed area sales objectives

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree; Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, etc. or equivalent related experience
  • Pre-sales experience or proven sales acumen (preferred)
  • Extensive experience in Cyber Resilience and Virtualization technologies, such as:
    • VMware (e.g., VCP) and/or
    • Microsoft (e.g., MCITP or equivalent)
  • Experience designing, building, or selling Veeam solutions
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to adapt to evolving responsibilities and changing priorities
  • Willingness to travel ~60%
  • High-energy, motivated self-starter who learns new technologies quickly

  • Breadth across Storage, Networking, Servers, and applications
  • Depth in VMware virtual technologies and Microsoft Windows Server / Hyper-V

Compensation Transparency
Veeam is committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation. For this role, the compensation range below reflects the expected total target compensation (TTC), inclusive of base pay and a competitive performance-based bonus. For roles with a commission plan, the compensation range represents On Target Earnings (OTE), which includes base salary plus variable commission. When determining compensation, Veeam takes into consideration factors such as experience, education, skills, and geographic zone. Offers are typically made below the midpoint of the range.
In addition to compensation, Veeam provides a comprehensive benefits package, including health coverage, retirement plans, and unlimited time off.
