Salary Range: $125,000-140,000

Position Summary:
Engineer Level 3: Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making adaptations and modifications. Assignments have clear and specified objectives. This level requires developmental experience in a professional position or equivalent graduate-level education. Receives instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions. Assistance is furnished on unusual problems. Work is reviewed for correctness and application of the QAQC Process and professional judgment. Includes responsibilities and tasks outlined in Engineer Levels 1 - 2.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • May supervise or coordinate the work of other designers and CAD/VDC production team.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Perform independent design and modeling of power and lighting systems for Commercial - Industrial - Data Center facilities
  • Perform design tasks assigned by lead Engineers
  • Assemble design drawings and documents and provide or coordinate delivery
  • Utilize software tools to perform broad range of engineering calculations and reports
  • Prepare and coordinates portions of design effort and project scope requirements

Other Functions:
  • Increased interaction with Project manager, external design team and information management
  • Maintain professional and technical development goals to acquire PE certification
  • Mentor Designers
  • Obtain Professional Development and Training

Other Responsibilities:
  • Thorough understanding of the Engineering department's design and CAD/VDC workflows
  • Thorough understanding of CEI's business inter-department functions
  • Thorough proficient use of AutoCAD - MEP/REVIT, CAD and file management
  • Thorough proficient understanding of fundamental power & lighting systems
  • Thorough understanding of the various State and National CODES governing our work
  • Provide Conformance to the Standards and processes outlined by the CAD/VDC Manager
  • Support team and department objectives for individual and department development.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Electrical Engineering or similar Bachelor of Science degree
  • 4-6 years working for an electrical design firm or design build electrical contractor
  • Basic Microsoft Office applications, AutoCAD - MEP/REVIT - Etap/SKM (desired)
  • Good time management, communication and people skills
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certified desired
