UWM seeks a technology-focused professional with advanced scripting capabilities, specifically in VBScript, to lead and operationally supervise an IT team supporting the Mortgage Servicing Platform (MSP). The ideal candidate will leverage technical expertise to develop efficient reporting mechanisms and automation frameworks while providing end-to-end process ownership. This role involves designing sophisticated VBScript solutions for testing and reporting across multiple environments (development, integration, staging, and production), creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation, and managing system enhancements and change control processes. The MSP IT Specialist will oversee critical system configurations, provide technical insights into transaction workflows and file transmission protocols, and facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to resolve complex technical challenges. Strong analytical skills are essential for tracking system performance, managing transaction processes, and optimizing operational efficiency while leading a team of four IT professionals.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
  • Lead and Operationally Supervise: Provide operational leadership for a team of four (MSP IT Administrators and MSP System Administrators), serving as the primary point of contact for end-to-end process ownership while reporting to the Application Development Team Leader.
Process Creation and Documentation: Create, own, and maintain comprehensive documentation for all end-to-end technical processes, including a centralized repository of automation scripts and technical guides.
Advanced Reporting and Automation: Design and implement VBScript solutions for analytical reporting across Excel and PDF platforms while validating the integrity of all reporting systems.
  • System Enhancement Management: Oversee the implementation of 15-day and 30-day monthly enhancements to the Mortgage Servicing Platform (MSP).
Change Control and Governance: Host and manage change control meetings to approve system updates and establish version control processes for tool-specific code modifications.
  • Workflow and Transaction Oversight: Provide technical insights into transaction workflow processes, overseeing file transmission protocols and supporting critical disbursement technology.
System Configuration: Manage system-specific headers, loan snapshots, comment codes, and the Online Letter Writer (OLLW) tool to support business communication needs.
  • Collaborative Integration: Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to enhance technological integration and resolve complex technical challenges related to reporting automation and transactional workflows.
  • Year-End Reporting: Oversee and manage comprehensive year-end reporting processes to ensure accurate and timely regulatory submissions.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Must Have:
  • Industry Expertise: Significant experience in the mortgage servicing industry.
  • Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of Director 7, Passport systems, and ICE products/tools.
  • Educational Foundation: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
  • System Knowledge: Strong knowledge of setting up and managing task queues, security access, templates, and MSP enhancement processes.
Scripting Skills: Familiarity with VBScript and other programming or scripting languages.
  • Professional Skills: Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a detail-oriented commitment to compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Operational Stamina: Ability to manage multiple tasks and lead team priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attendance: On-site attendance Monday - Friday

Nice to Have:
  • Advanced Tools: Direct experience with Online Letter Writer (OLLW) and other mortgage-specific customer communication tools.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of mortgage servicing industry regulations and compliance requirements.
