Applications Developer II – Sierra Space

Overview

The role focuses on designing, coding, testing, and maintaining software applications that support various business functions at Sierra Space.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain clean, scalable, and efficient code for business applications.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Conduct unit testing, debugging, and code reviews to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Use version control systems such as Git to manage the codebase.
  • Document software designs, code, and processes for future reference and maintenance.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 2 years of related professional experience.
  • Proficiency in at least two programming languages and familiarity with development frameworks.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Experience designing and implementing software solutions independently.
  • Experience debugging and testing software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SQL Server or other relational database management systems.
  • Experience with MS Access database development and VBA programming.
  • Web application development experience.
  • Power BI report development and data visualization.
  • Experience with database ETL processes and data integration.
  • Familiarity with engineering programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or VBA.

Compensation

Pay Range: $89,016.00 – $122,418.00 (actual base compensation determined on a case‑by‑case basis).
