Clinical Nurse (CVOR) – 36 Hours/Week

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is seeking an experienced Cardio Vascular Surgical RN (CVOR) for a well-known Bay Area healthcare organization in Palo Alto, California. This is a three-day-per-week (36 hours/week) opportunity for a highly skilled RN with strong cardiovascular operating room experience.

Compensation

$86.00 – $90.00 per hour
Hourly wage depends upon experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Position Overview

This role is responsible for the full nursing process — assessment, planning, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of care — while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams and supporting patients and families throughout the surgical and recovery journey.

This position specifically supports CVOR services, circulating and scrubbing for complex procedures. Minimum 3+ years of CVOR experience (required)

Specialty Focus: CVOR

  • Circulates and scrubs complex cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgeries
  • Responds to hospital-wide CV Codes and ECMO placements
  • Provides on-call support for Type A cases
  • Rapidly recognizes and responds to emergent situations, activating protocols as needed

  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care across all phases of treatment
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and interpret clinical data
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the care team
  • Monitor patients for changes in condition, adverse responses, and complications
  • Provide patient and family education tailored to learning needs, culture, and clinical condition
  • Promote a healing environment through emotional support and strong communication
  • Delegate appropriately, prioritize effectively, and integrate multiple clinical demands
  • Maintain patient and staff safety while ensuring compliance with standards and policies

  • Active CA RN license
  • Current American Heart Association BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification
  • Minimum 3+ years of CVOR experience (required)

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
