Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Interventional Radiology for a travel nursing job in Portland, Maine.

Travel Outpatient Infusion RN


Location: South Portland, Maine
Department: Outpatient IV Therapy
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Mondayโ€“Friday, 7:45 AMโ€“4:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Weekends: None
Call: None
Float: None
Charting: Epic

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Outpatient Infusion RN for a busy 21-chair infusion center averaging approximately 46 patients per day. This is an infusion-center role, not a vascular access position.

Non-Negotiable Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience
  • Recent outpatient infusion experience
  • Chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration experience required
  • Active ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy certification required
  • Active Maine RN license
  • Strong peripheral IV insertion skills
  • Central line care experience
  • Blood transfusion experience
  • Medication administration experience
Patient Volume and Ratios
  • 21 infusion spaces
  • Average daily census: approximately 46 patients
  • Daily workload generally ranges from 7โ€“9 patients, depending on treatment length, complexity, and acuity
Common Responsibilities
  • Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy
  • Start and manage peripheral IVs
  • Access and care for central lines
  • Administer medications and infusions
  • Provide blood transfusions
  • Monitor patients for reactions and changes in condition
  • Educate patients regarding treatments, medications, and side effects
  • Coordinate care with providers, pharmacy, and the interdisciplinary team
  • Complete timely documentation in Epic
