Job Overview:

Pay Range: $70hr - $75hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • 10+ years of experience in Incentive Compensation Management with a minimum of 5+ years hands-on Varicent platform experience.
  • 1+ years of strong expertise in the Varicent SaaS Platform including configuration, development, administration, deployments, and production support.
  • Deep demonstrable expertise in both Varicent Designer data models, calculations, pipeline workflows, symbols, and Varicent Studio reports, dashboards, web forms, conditional formatting.
  • Proven experience delivering Varicent solutions for large-scale multinational enterprises.
  • Track record of leading full ICM implementation projects independently from requirements through go-live.
  • Advanced proficiency in Varicent Designer pipeline configuration, symbol logic, data transformation, error handling, and performance tuning.
  • Strong SQL and relational database skills (SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL) for data validation and integration support.
  • Understanding of ETL principles, API integrations (REST/SOAP), and flat-file data exchange patterns.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary client-facing lead for all Varicent initiatives, driving business discussions, requirement gathering sessions, solution workshops, and roadmap planning.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, compensation teams, and technology teams to translate business requirements into scalable Varicent solutions.
  • Lead end-to-end design, development, configuration, and support of Varicent SaaS-based Incentive Compensation Management solutions.
  • Design and develop Varicent data models, hierarchies, imports, calculations, workflows, reports, dashboards, outbound processes, and security configurations.
  • Act as the Varicent product SME, guiding business users on platform capabilities, best practices, enhancement opportunities, and solution approaches.
  • Lead offshore development teams, perform design and code reviews, establish development standards, and mentor team members.
  • Drive new feature implementations, compensation plan changes, territory and hierarchy updates, and production support activities.
  • Manage project delivery estimates, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications across onshore and offshore teams.
  • Support release planning, testing strategy, defect resolution, deployment activities, and post-production stabilization.
  • Collaborate with business and leadership teams to continuously improve compensation processes, operational efficiency, and reporting capabilities.
  • Drive issue resolution, escalation management, and ensure successful project execution while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Serve as the primary Varicent subject-matter expert for executive stakeholders, Sales Ops leaders, Finance Controllers, and IT leadership.
  • Design AI-ready data and compensation solutions enabling business efficiencies.
  • Own platform health, monitor performance, resolve technical issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead the Varicent upgrade and release management strategy, including regression testing and change management.
  • Define and implement data governance, audit controls, and SOX-compliant configuration standards.
  • Mentor and coach junior analysts and developers, conducting knowledge transfer sessions.
  • Lead a blended team of internal staff and offshore resources.
