Help Wanted – Construction Project Manager

Davenport Brothers Construction Co., Inc.
Location: Belleville, Michigan (48111)
Position: Project Manager
Salary: $75,000 – $125,000 (based on experience)

Davenport Brothers Construction is a commercial and industrial general contractor with over 40 years of experience serving clients throughout Michigan and nationwide. We specialize in commercial, industrial, manufacturing, institutional, pre-engineered metal buildings, and large-scale construction projects.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee commercial and industrial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, client communications, safety compliance, and project documentation while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial construction projects from start to finish.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, and owners.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules.
  • Monitor budgets, change orders, and project costs.
  • Review plans, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings.
  • Conduct project meetings and communicate project status.
  • Ensure compliance with contract documents, local codes, and safety requirements.
  • Utilize Procore and Microsoft Project for project management and reporting.
  • Support project closeout, punch lists, and turnover documentation.
  • Maintain high standards of quality control and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of commercial construction project management experience.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction methods and sequencing.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and owner relationships.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience with Procore and Microsoft Project preferred.
  • OSHA training or certification preferred.
