SVP, Marketing Integration Lead (Brand Experience)

Updated: Today
Location: Santa Monica, CA, United States
Job ID:16656

Breaking from traditional siloed agency models, this senior level marketing role is charged with delivering a single agency experience, sitting at the intersection of Strategy, Creative, Media, Account, Operations, Analytics, and Client teams. This individual serves as the central "Connective Intelligence" hub from agency to clients, to help ensure cross-functional flow and accelerate business performance. This role is designed to elevate the broader client relationship by ensuring clarity, cohesion, and commercial impact across HCP and DTC initiatives. The Integration Lead will operate as a client-relations orchestrator — translating client needs into actionable, cross-functional plans and direction while ensuring clients are also talking to each other. This is not a traditional Account, Strategy, or Media role. It is a Marketing leadership position for a multi-disciplinary operator who understands the full ecosystem — from upstream brand planning to downstream deployment, from media architecture to content calendars, and from analytics storytelling to HCP and DTC tactical execution.

What You’ll Own

  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to key client stakeholders, including brand and affiliate leadership.
  • Connecting the dots between brand team departments to ensure timely awareness of interdependencies, deadlines and considerations.
  • Ensure clients understand the “what” and “why” behind tactics we’re proposing:
    • What we are actually producing
    • How it aligns to communications strategy
    • How HCP and DTC efforts connect within the ecosystem

2. Cross-Department Integration & Workflow Leadership

  • Clients silo between Strategy, Creative, Medical, Media, Account, PM, and Analytics.
  • Ensure the right experts are brought in at the right time — reducing friction and missed inputs.
  • Determine where ownership of integrated / multi-discipline deliverables sits.
  • Step in during breakdowns to realign teams and bring clarity.
  • Drive consistency between HCP and DTC teams as applicable.
  • Coach teams toward stronger integration, proactivity and shared accountability.
  • Leverage a cross-integration vantage point to identify and champion organic growth opportunities, serving as the unifying force across teams.

3. Analytics & Performance Integration

  • Ensure reporting connects the dots between:
    • Media drivers
    • Creative performance
    • Business impact
  • Help lead Optimizely testing and suggestions to ensure business goals are met.
  • Advocate for integrated measurement — not siloed channel reporting.
  • Partner with analytics leads to elevate how insights inform future planning.

What This Role Is Accountable For

  • Fostering impactful client relationships aimed at brokering integrated communication between them
  • Leading monthly in-person client meetings in San Francisco (minimum 1x per month)
  • Integration across disciplines
  • Clarity of ownership and decision-making
  • Strategic continuity from planning through deployment
  • Alignment between media architecture and content creation
  • Client understanding of strategy, outputs, and ecosystem
  • Improved analytics storytelling and performance visibility

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in health, pharmaceutical, or medical communications.
  • Demonstrated cross-functional leadership across Strategy, Creative, Media, and Analytics.
  • Proven success in a client-facing leadership role
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and ensuring integration
  • Strong executive presence and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel to San Francisco at least once per month
  • Strong DTC experience required.
  • Exposure to media planning, CX architecture, and omnichannel execution.
  • Experience architecting content ecosystems and editorial calendars.
  • Proven ability to translate strategy into tactical execution plans.
  • Deep understanding of approval workflows and regulatory considerations.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to coach and align multidisciplinary teams.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and high-volume environments.

What Success Looks Like

  • Teams know exactly who owns what.
  • Media, Creative, and Strategy operate from a shared roadmap.
  • Clients clearly understand what we’re producing and why.
  • Analytics tells a connected performance story.
  • Client views us as indispensable strategic partners — not just executional support.

Why This Role Matters

This is for a priority client relationship. To unlock its full potential, we need a senior integration leader who can connect strategy to activation, media to content, data to insight, and teams to one another — while strengthening the client partnership at every step.
