What You'll Do

As a Manager - BCG Vantage path within BCG's Consumer Practice Area you will work in a growing global team, providing industry expertise and insights across various CPG segments including packaged food, non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, snacking, VMS, pet care, and more working together with case and proposal teams to provide knowledge assets, analysis and expert advisory. You'll serve as a thought partner and content expert to case teams and consumer products topic/sector leaders, helping structure and solve complex issues.

Additionally, as a Manager - BCG Vantage you will drive development of assets (e.g., IP, products and tools - many GenAI-enabled) to support the topic businesses, serving as an active contributor to commercialization efforts, whilst working with business leaders to drive asset build, proposals, and go-to-market efforts. As a Manager - BCG Vantage, you may also line manage a team of junior colleagues, taking responsibility for their goal setting, ongoing feedback and career development support.

SPECIFIC RESPONSABILITIES WILL BE:

  • Co-develop scalable CPG offerings that blend POS and panel data, with an eye toward incorporating AI-powered tools and automation to enhance insight generation and delivery over time.
  • Translate retail point-of-sale data (e.g., NielsenIQ, Circana, SPINS) and consumer panel data (e.g., NielsenIQ, Circana, Numerator) into clear, actionable industry and shopper insights to support due diligence, growth, and strategy engagements.
  • Collaborate with case teams to frame analyses, define key questions, and pressure-test findings in real time to support hypothesis development and business recommendations.
  • Monitor trends and performance across CPG categories to surface emerging opportunities and shape client and internal discussions.
  • Conduct and synthesize fast-turn analyses to support time-sensitive case work, delivering high-quality, client-ready outputs with minimal supervision.
  • Build and maintain insight templates, dashboards, and category snapshots that enhance internal capabilities and reduce turnaround time on recurring analytics requests.
  • Coach and develop more junior members of the team.

YOU'RE GOOD AT

  • Solving client problems through formulating relevant research and/or analytical approaches in consumer packaged goods Industry
  • Crafting compelling stories grounded in data that connect shopper behavior with product performance, leveraging panel and POS data sources.
  • Communicating with senior stakeholders and case teams, in a credible and confident way
  • Navigating complexity and ambiguity with autonomy, ownership, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Administering your time efficiently to meet deadlines, working collaboratively and effectively in a group dynamic that is often virtual.
  • Training, coaching and mentoring junior team members
  • Being flexible and bringing a curious and creative mindset, proactively proposing new ideas with a strong focus on applied AI.

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in the CPG industry, market research, consulting, or analytics roles focused on consumer packaged good
  • Deep knowledge of consumer panel and POS datasets (e.g., NielsenIQ, IRI, Circana, Numerator, Spins, etc.)
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI) and AI-powered tools is a plus
  • Track record of delivering impactful solutions built leveraging large datasets. Applied AI is a plus.
  • Proven ability to work with large datasets, synthesize complex findings, and develop actionable insights
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented; able to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's Degree required (advanced degree preferred)

In the US, we have a compensation transparency approach.

Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, retirement contribution, and a market leading benefits package described below.

  • The base salary range for this role is $126,400.00 - $132,000.00

This is an estimated range, however, specific base salaries within the range depend on various factors such as experience and skill set. It is not common for new BCG employees to be hired at the high-end of the salary range. BCG regularly reviews its ranges to ensure market competitiveness.

In addition to your base salary, your total compensation will include a bonus of up to 20% and a generous retirement contribution that starts at 5% and moves to 10% after 2 years.
