About the Opportunity
A Server Assistant at Drake's is responsible for assisting our service staff with providing exceptional service to our guests. The Server Assistant is expected to perform in a hospitable manner and play an integral role in supporting and maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant while also anticipating the guests’ needs. Our goal is to make everyone feel welcome, comfortable, important, and relaxed, while exceeding expectations of all. 
Core Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the restaurant and service areas.
  • Assist servers, bartenders and hosts when needed and understands food descriptions and ingredients of menu items.
  • Run food from the kitchen to guest tables after ensuring each course is complete and accurate
  • Run beverages from the bar to guest tables and ensure beverages are always full
  • Remove used dishes and silverware from guest tables between courses and after guests leave the table.
  • Communicate with server, bartenders and hostess to assure efficient seating, table utilization and guest service.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all tables and chairs in assigned service area and resets vacated tables.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication skills and work ethic
  • Team-oriented with a strong sense of punctuality and reliability
  • Ability to navigate a fast-paced environment while being positive, respectful, professional and having a genuine attitude towards guests and colleagues
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
  • At least 18 years old
  • TABC Certification, as required
  • Certified for food and alcohol service as is required by State and Local Agencies

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work standing and walking for extended periods of time
