Position Overview

High Value Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our committed care team in a full-time remote capacity. This position is pivotal in providing therapeutic support to individuals and families, particularly focusing on divorce and relationship counseling. As an integral part of our clinic, you will play a significant role in enhancing the mental health and well-being of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.
  • Create and implement personalized treatment plans based on individual client needs, preferences, and goals, ensuring a holistic approach to care.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address client concerns.
  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and strategies for self-care and coping mechanisms.
  • Regularly monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to reflect evolving needs and objectives.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care and support for clients’ overall well-being.
  • Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in mental health treatment to enhance your clinical skills and approaches.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate in case consultations, staff meetings, and continuing education opportunities to foster professional development.
  • Actively advocate for clients’ mental health needs and work to diminish stigma surrounding mental health issues.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will serve primarily include individuals and families navigating challenges related to mood disorders, divorce, and interpersonal relationships. You will work with a diverse population, providing tailored therapy that respects cultural and individual differences. Your role will be vital in helping clients move toward healing, stability, and improved quality of life.

Qualifications
  • Possession of an active and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling the establishment of a trusting and empathetic therapeutic relationship with clients.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively, balanced with administrative tasks and client care.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in therapeutic modalities such as Structural Family Therapy, Strategic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, or others relevant to family dynamics.
  • Previous work focused on divorce and relationship counseling is highly desirable, enhancing your ability to connect with and support clients experiencing similar issues.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation and client management is a plus.
