The Value Stream Manager is the architect of the value stream, identifying value as defined from the customer's perspective and leading the effort to achieve an ever- shortening value-creating flow. The Value Stream Manager (VSM) ensures customer satisfaction by leading cross-functional teams to execute the Annual Operating Plan for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Inventory, and Growth of the business and team members. The VSM is accountable for the long-term financial performance of the Value Stream by ensuring alignment to business needs and growth, establishing future state strategic vision, and developing and executing continuous improvement roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Owns, develops, and drives the continuous improvement roadmap and implementation plan to achieve operational objectives and future state vision.
  • Major accountabilities include associate safety, product quality, on-time delivery, financial results (operational costs), and growth planning.
  • Champions kaizen events with a focus on continuous improvement and productivity initiatives; supports lean initiatives by leading/facilitating kaizen events.
  • Develops employees to reach their maximum potential that aligns with the corporate vision.
  • Participates in budget preparation and long-range capital planning.
  • Summarizes results and prepares presentations for leadership and customer review.
  • Works cross-functionally with internal partners in Planning, Marketing, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Operational Excellence to provide guidance and direction for the individuals from these functions assigned to support the value stream.
  • Leading to ensure quality is a priority and continuously strives to improve systems, processes, and compliance.
  • Leads by example through Pharmavite' s Operating Values and is highly visible on the manufacturing floor and in touch with the pulse of the operation across all shifts, supporting employees to enable them to do their jobs better.

  • Working knowledge and advanced training in Lean manufacturing concepts and techniques.

Capabilities and Skills Required:

  • To take on these challenges, you will need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, manufacturing/ technology, or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience.
  • Requires ten years of experience in a manufacturing and maintenance organization.
  • Six Sigma and/or Lean/Continuous Improvement experience & certification preferred.
  • Obtain internal Lean Green Belt certification and Kata coach within one year of employment.
  • Start-up environment experience.
  • Assigned dosage form experience preferred.
  • Power BI skills are a plus.

National Target Base Pay Range: $117,000.00 - $195,000.00

The salary range for this position is based on national standards. For candidates in California and the New York metro, the Target Base Pay Range is $130,000.00 - $216,000.00, to reflect the cost of living and market conditions in those areas.

Actual compensation will take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location, education, experience, qualifications, and job-related skills. It is not typical for an individual to be hired above the midpoint of the range for their role, and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. This information is provided to applicants in accordance with state and local laws.

Base pay is only one component of our total rewards offerings, and we will take the full offering into consideration when presenting an offer of employment. Our total rewards package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, Medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401K match, and other wellness benefits.
