As a Value Stream Engineer at MKS, you will partner closely with optical fabrication operations to facilitate component manufacturing across one or more work cells. In this role, you will report to the Senior Manager of Operations and play a key role in driving efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the value stream.
You Will Make an Impact By
  • Improving the flow of materials, information, and resources across the entire value stream
  • Identifying and eliminating inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and waste
  • Initiating and executing LEAN methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Creating and maintaining standard work for processes
  • Developing and rolling out clear work instructions
  • Creating training documents and identifying training needs and requirements within a work cell
  • Traveling up to 5% as required
Skills You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing-related role
Preferred Skills (Optional)
  • Lean training
  • Six Sigma training
  • Project management training
  • Knowledge of optics
Supervisory Scope
  • Ownership and maintenance of work-cell-level operational metrics, including output, yields, scrap rates, and related performance indicators

  • Physical Demands and Working Conditions
    • Ability to sit, stand, or type for extended periods of time
    • Regular requirement for good manual dexterity and coordination
    • Occasional movement or positioning of objects up to 25 lbs
    • Ability to remain in a stationary position for approximately 25% of the time

Salary Range:
The annual base salary range for this position is $71,025.00 - $105,375.00 USD. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, education, and location, as well as internal equity and business needs. This role may also be eligible for additional benefits and incentives in accordance with MKS programs.
