The Value Stream Manager II or III (VSM) is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction by leading across-functional team to execute the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) focused on Safety, Quality,Delivery, Cost, Inventory, and Growth. The VSM II is accountable for the long-term financialperformance of the Value Stream by aligning with business needs, driving growth, establishing astrategic vision for the future state, and implementing continuous improvement roadmaps.Every 1.2 seconds, product built at our Crane Aerospace & Electronics Burbank facility is stopping aircraft - delivering passengers and military personnel safely to their destination. Essential Functions:
  • Collaborate with key business functions, including Order Management, Supply Chain,Scheduling, Manufacturing and Design Engineering, Quality, Finance, Program Management,and Business Unit leadership. Provide guidance and direction to individuals from thesefunctions supporting the value stream.
  • Drive accountability for daily performance reporting and problem-solving of key performanceindicators (KPIs) such as Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Growth.
  • Lead and facilitate kaizen events to champion continuous improvement, productivityinitiatives, and lean practices.
  • Develop and mentor associates to maximize their potential, fostering a highly skilled,motivated, and customer-focused team.
  • Participate in budget preparation and long-term capital planning to support operational andstrategic goals.
  • Own, develop, and execute the continuous improvement roadmap to achieve operationalobjectives and align with the future state vision.
  • Prepare and present performance summaries and results to executive leadership andcustomers.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies by promoting safe workpractices.
  • Support Crane Business System (CBS) initiatives, including 5S, KPIs, Standard Work, ProblemSolving, and other continuous improvement efforts.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.
  • Major accountabilities include, but are not limited to: associate safety, product quality, on time delivery, financial results (operational costs), and growth planning

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience: VSM II: 5+ years of experience directly supporting operations, including 3+ years ofsupervision; VSM III: 10+ years of experience directly supporting operations either in Production control, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations Management 3+ years of Value Stream Management experience
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniquesfor maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods; Knowledge of businessand management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadershiptechniques, and coordination of people and resources
  • Skills/Abilities: Strong critical thinking skills; Excellent time management/sense of urgency;Complex problem-solving ability; Good judgment and decision-making skills; Stronginterpersonal and communication skills
  • Eligibility Requirement:This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
  • Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree in manufacturing or related field

Salary range:

VSM II: $126,825 - $166,773

VSM III: $149,300 - $194,200
Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
