Job Summary
This is an opportunity to join the CRH Ventures team, which is part of the Strategy, Innovation and Ventures (SIV) group at CRH. As the Corporate Venture Capital arm of CRH, the Ventures team is responsible for connecting CRH with external innovation, start-ups, investors, and entrepreneurs. The goal is to stay ahead of disruptive technologies and business models while creating long-term value for the company through investments and partnerships. The Ventures team works closely with other functions at CRH to assess the innovation landscape, develop technology pilots, execute investments and work with portfolio companies..

This role is based at our corporate office in the Perimeter area of Atlanta, GA - hybrid work schedule
Job Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain market maps and landscape analyses across the four CRH Ventures focus themes - Aggregates, Cementitious, Roads, and Water - spanning both construction technology (ConTech) and climate technology (ClimateTech).
  • Source, screen, and track early-stage start-ups that fit the team's investment theses.
  • Build and stress-test financial and valuation models using projections, key performance indicators (KPIs), and industry-specific comparable-company benchmarks.
  • Support end-to-end due diligence - commercial, financial, technical, and market - gathering data, coordinating with subject-matter experts, and synthesizing findings into clear summaries.
  • Research investment trends, emerging technologies, and competitive developments across the construction and built-environment value chain, and translate them into investment ideas.
  • Monitor portfolio-company performance against plan - tracking KPIs, milestones, and follow-on financing needs - and working directly with portfolio companies to execute on their plans.
  • Support the operations of CRH Ventures accelerator programs (for example, Water Solutions, Roads of the Future, and Sustainable Building Materials), including application review, cohort logistics, and mentor coordination.
  • Help identify and structure commercial pilots between start-ups and CRH operating companies (such as Oldcastle Infrastructure in North America), coordinating introductions and tracking pilot progress.
  • Travel up to 25% - some international travel
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in private equity, investment banking, management consulting, corporate venture capital (CVC), or venture capital, or an equivalent analytical role.
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and quantitative analysis skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct market research, build landscape analyses, and synthesize complex information into clear, decision-ready outputs.
