Front Desk Team Member
This position offices in-person, on campus
ROLE SUMMARY
A Front Desk Team Member at Valor Christian serves as the first point of contact and ambassador for the school, providing a welcoming, professional, and courteous experience for all visitors and callers while maintaining a strong sense of confidentiality, patience, and discretion. In addition to delivering high-level customer service, this role functions as a key "gatekeeper" for the facility by following and executing all school-wide safety and security procedures. The position supports daily school operations by assisting students, staff, families, and guests, maintaining proficiency in front desk systems, managing accurate student attendance records, and overseeing office and workroom supplies.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide consistent, high-level customer service at the reception desk while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times
  • Perform a full range of reception duties, including greeting and assisting students, staff, parents, and visitors
  • Support school safety and security by becoming knowledgeable in and accurately executing all school-wide procedures
  • Utilize and maintain proficiency in all software systems used at the front desk to support daily operations
  • Maintain accurate student attendance records in support of the Deans and Academics teams
  • Manage workroom and office supplies, ensuring organization, availability, and compliance with budget guidelines

RESULTS
Due to the excellent work and caring nature of the Front Desk Team Member, each person who engages with Valor Christian at the reception desks, either in-person or over the phone, will have experienced exceptional customer service and been treated with respect, kindness and hospitality. Additionally, their attention to protocols and procedures will have supported the overall safety and security of Valor's campus.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Prior reception experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and make good decisions
  • Quick learner who is able to manage multiple concurrent responsibilities
  • Able to maintain a calm and professional demeanor with a positive attitude while working in a fast-paced environment

POSITION TYPE: A: Student-facing position. Traditional school calendar. August - May. (With occasional summer dates as needed)
HOURS PER WEEK: Part-Time, Non-Exempt. Mondays 7am-4pm & Thursdays 7am-5pm, not to exceed 25 hours per week

PAY RANGE: $18-20/HR
