The Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic, innovative Assembly Technicians to join their Advanced Hardware Manufacturing Operations (AHMO) team. Unlike a traditional high-volume factory, this role focuses on rapid prototyping and low-volume assembly. You will work directly with engineers to bring new automotive hardware to life, facilitating quick design iterations for the future of transportation.

This is an ideal role for a technician who enjoys problem-solving, working on "first-of-its-kind" hardware, and contributing to the development of manufacturing processes.

Core Responsibilities

  • Prototyping & Assembly: Accurately assemble and test a variety of electronic hardware, ranging from early engineering prototypes to short-run production.
  • Engineering Support: Collaborate with engineers to optimize manufacturing processes and develop alternative assembly techniques to resolve design issues.
  • Testing: Perform final product testing and troubleshooting in accordance with technical written procedures.
  • Quality Assurance: Act as a "Quality Delegate," performing peer inspections on work completed by other technicians in the Engineering Lab.
  • Tooling & Equipment: Utilize standard assembly tools (cutters, crimpers, soldering irons, torque tools) and lab equipment (power supplies, signal generators, oscilloscopes).
  • Communication: Maintain clear, accurate documentation and communicate progress effectively with cross-functional development teams.
  • Safety & Organization: Maintain a pristine, well-organized lab environment and adhere strictly to safety protocols.

Key Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: AS Degree with 1+ year of experience, or 3+ years of professional experience in electro-mechanical assembly.
  • Technical Skills: * Proven experience with soldering and pin insertion/removal tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, schematics, and Blueprints.
  • Proficiency in using oscilloscopes, signal generators, and power supplies.
  • Software: Proficient with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets) and general computer data entry.
  • Soft Skills: Self-starter mentality with the ability to work with minimal supervision in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
