This position allows for a flexible work setting primarily through remote engagements, fostering a conducive environment for social work within school contexts. However, some in-person interaction may be required for collaborative meetings with educational staff, healthcare teams, and families as we tailor our approach to each student's unique situation. • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify students’ emotional, social, and academic needs, collaborating with teachers and school counselors to develop tailored support plans.
• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions to address issues such as adjustment difficulties, grief, trauma, and coping strategies, equipping students with necessary tools for success.
• Coordinate with external community organizations to create a robust support network for students and families, ensuring a seamless transition and ongoing care post-discharge from mental health services.
• Provide educational resources and emotional support to families, helping them navigate treatment options and community resources.
• Engage actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to share insights and strategies that promote optimal patient and student outcomes, ultimately enhancing overall satisfaction.
• Document all interactions and interventions meticulously to maintain compliance with hospital policies and legal standards.

The primary focus of this role will be on school-aged children and adolescents who may be facing a variety of challenges impacting their mental health and educational performance. Our LCSW will play a pivotal role in fostering resilience, connecting families with resources, and providing emotional support, ensuring students feel safe and empowered within their learning environments.

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is mandatory.

• A minimum of two years' experience in a healthcare or hospital setting is preferred, particularly in roles involving pediatric or adolescent populations.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and mental health disorders relevant to children and adolescents.
• Proficient in crisis intervention techniques, with a demonstrated ability to handle high-stress situations effectively and compassionately.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills that facilitate collaboration with educational staff, parents, and healthcare teams.
