As the Validation Engineer - Contractor, You Will
  • Perform validation testing for telematics products using test benches and vehicles
  • Execute sanity testing, customer reported issue verification, validation against updated customer specifications, and full test case execution for assigned areas
  • Analyze test results to determine compliance with product specifications
  • Create and maintain test cases aligned with product requirements
  • Utilize defect tracking systems to report, monitor, and manage product issues
  • Set up test benches and perform software updates
  • Conduct field testing and joint field tests with OEM partners
  • Provide OEM support including module flashing, environment configuration, drive test support, and other technical requests as needed
  • Maintain effective collaboration with overseas counterparts to share information and resolve issues
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical challenges
  • Communicate and collaborate with R&D teams across North America and other regions, including Korea
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent experience

Travel
  • Ability to travel domestically as required

Knowledge Of
  • Test bench and vehicle setup
  • Telematics systems and technologies
  • Technical specifications and test result analysis
  • Test case development processes and structured test case design
  • Defect and bug tracking systems
  • Vehicle communication protocols

Ability To
  • Learn and adapt to new software, hardware tools, and technologies
  • Work cross functionally across systems, embedded software, servers, wireless carriers, and testing teams
  • Identify and mitigate both technical and organizational challenges
  • Sit and or drive in a vehicle for testing for up to 8 hours per day
  • Continuously learn and explore unfamiliar technologies
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to quality and attention to detail
  • Communicate clearly and effectively through strong written and verbal skills

Preferred:
  • Bilingual in Korean preferred
  • Background in computer science
