Job description

The Electrical Technician is responsible for building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical and electromechanical systems used in product development, manufacturing, and testing environments. This position works closely with engineers to assemble prototypes, develop test fixtures, install instrumentation, perform validation testing, and support new product development from concept through production.The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable reading electrical schematics, enjoys hands-on problem solving, and has experience working with electronic assemblies, instrumentation, wiring, and test equipment.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesElectrical Assembly & Fabrication Build, wire, and assemble electrical and electromechanical systems, test fixtures, and control panels. Assemble prototype and production hardware using hand and power tools

Perform cable, harness, connector, and PCB assembly including soldering and rework. Modify electrical assemblies and printed circuit boards as needed for testing and validation. Install sensors, instrumentation, and data acquisition equipment on prototype and production systems.

Testing & Validation Set up, operate, and maintain electrical test equipment including: Oscilloscopes Digital multimeters Power supplies Data acquisition systems Environmental and functional test equipment Execute electrical, functional, and validation testing according to engineering procedures. Troubleshoot electrical systems to identify failures and determine root cause. Record, document, and communicate test results and observations.

Support engineering teams during product qualification and verification testing. Military proptoype LRU and Harness assembly into Military vehicle for tests and user trials Engineering Support Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and assembly instructions. Assist engineers with prototype development and design verification.

Build and maintain custom test fixtures and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) systems. Provide recommendations for improving product reliability, manufacturability, and testing efficiency. Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and product revisions.

Manufacturing Support Troubleshoot production issues related to electrical assemblies. Assist with first article inspections and production start-up activities. Maintain tools, fixtures, and laboratory equipment.

Support inventory control of electrical components and lab equipment. Ensure compliance with quality standards and manufacturing procedures. Safety & Quality Follow all company safety policies and electrical safety procedures.

Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area. Ensure work meets company quality standards and customer specifications. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
