Polk Mechanical is seeking a dynamic Senior Project Manager to lead high-impact mechanical construction projects. This is your opportunity to join a top-performing team where your leadership, technical expertise, and strategic thinking will drive success from concept to completion.

What You'll Do

As a Project Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind the planning, execution, and delivery of one or more projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing overall management direction and leadership for assigned projects.
  • Procuring equipment and subcontracts to support project execution.
  • Monitoring job costs, maintaining accurate forecasts, and ensuring timely billing and scheduling.
  • Partnering with Superintendents to oversee daily field operations and ensure productivity.
  • Building and maintaining long-term client relationships to foster communication and secure future opportunities.
  • Ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Review and validate project estimates and cost entries.
  • Lead pre-job and ongoing planning meetings to align teams with project goals and contract requirements.
  • Maintain and update project schedules and manpower plans.
  • Execute subcontract and equipment buyouts aligned with project timelines and budgets.
  • Conduct daily site visits to inspect work, resolve issues, and ensure safety and quality.
  • Manage scope changes, pricing, and documentation for change orders.
  • Attend and lead project meetings with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience managing mechanical construction projects (renovation experience a plus).
  • Proven ability to negotiate change orders and deliver compelling project presentations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex challenges.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in interpreting contracts, drawings, and specifications.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel highly preferred) and job cost accounting systems.
  • Understanding of financial models in fixed price, cost-plus, and unit rate contracts.
  • Willingness to be on-site daily and available for occasional after-hours support.
