Your job duties include developing operational plans for the entire facility, identifying areas of process improvement, and scheduling periodic auditing reviews of the facility. The qualifications needed for a career as a validation manager include a bachelor’s degree in business, organizational theory, quality control, or a related field. You also need strong communication and computer skills and experience in a management position.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a validation manager, and why are they important?

Job description

Business Development Representative

HireQuest Direct — Houston, TX

Base Salary: $50,000–$60,000 + Uncapped Commission

HireQuest Direct is looking for an aggressive, motivated Business Development Representative to join our Houston team. This is a true hunter role focused on identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with local employers, and bringing in new staffing accounts.

If you enjoy prospecting, cold calling, networking, setting meetings, and closing deals, this is an opportunity to build and grow your own book of business while being backed by an established staffing organization.

What You'll Do

  • Identify and target companies that have staffing and workforce needs
  • Prospect for new business through cold calling, email, networking, referrals, and in-person visits
  • Build relationships with business owners, HR professionals, hiring managers, and operations leaders
  • Schedule and conduct sales meetings with prospective clients
  • Develop customized staffing solutions based on each client's hiring needs
  • Generate new accounts and grow existing client relationships
  • Regularly visit prospective and current clients throughout the Houston market
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and consistently work toward revenue goals
  • Stay informed about local hiring trends, competitors, and market opportunities
  • Work closely with the recruiting and operations teams to ensure clients receive excellent service
  • Follow up consistently with prospects and clients to uncover additional opportunities

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in business development, outside sales, staffing, recruiting, or a related field
  • Strong prospecting and cold-calling skills
  • A competitive, self-motivated personality with a strong desire to win
  • Ability to identify decision-makers and turn prospects into clients
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
  • Comfortable making frequent phone calls and conducting face-to-face sales visits
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Compensation & Benefits

  • $50,000–$60,000 base salary, based on experience
  • Uncapped commission
  • Car allowance
  • Benefits package
  • Paid time off
  • Opportunity for significant earnings as you build your book of business
  • Established staffing platform and operational support
  • Long-term career growth opportunities

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who hunts for business rather than waits for it.

The ideal candidate is comfortable picking up the phone, walking into a business, finding the decision-maker, asking for the opportunity, and following up until they get the meeting. Staffing experience is a plus, but we're also interested in successful outside sales professionals who know how to prospect, build relationships, and close new business.

If you're a driven sales professional looking for a base salary, uncapped commission, car allowance, and the opportunity to build your own book of business, we'd like to hear from you.
