Position Summary

The Valet Runnerโ€™s primary function is to drive, park, and retrieve vehicles for those visitors engaging with valet services. As the Valet Runner is often the first and last experience that a visitor has with Bal Harbour Shops, the position represents an opportunity to make an impactful customer impression and must reflect the discerning standards of service for a first-class shopping location.


Responsibilities

  • Welcome visitors upon arrival and departure.
  • Drive visitor vehicles to dedicated valet parking spaces and retrieve them in an efficient and safe manner.
  • Assist valet visitors with loading items into their vehicle.
  • Assist visitors and tenant employees with questions they have related to parking or the center, to include store locations, operating hours or driving directions.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
Requirements:

Education and Experience

  • Prior valet experience, preferred.
  • Clean driving record.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to drive cars with both manual and automatic transmission, required.
  • Must be able to do simple math.
  • Demonstrated excellence in providing customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be proficient in English.
  • Spanish or Portuguese proficiency is a plus.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Valid Drivers License, required.

Physical Requirements

Position requires the incumbent to drive and park, stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, twist, & stretch. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Along with having the ability to push and pull up to approximately 50 lbs of drag weight without assistance. Due to this position being outside, the employee will be exposed to all weather conditions.
