Job description

The Valet Runner is responsible for providing prompt, courteous and exceptional customer service by safely and efficiently parking and retrieving vehicles for guests, while maintaining the flow of traffic. This role ensures a smooth, professional, and welcoming experience from arrival to departure, while upholding company safety and service standards. This includes delivering excellent customer service to ensure a positive first and last impression.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

  • Greet guests promptly, courteously, and professionally upon arrival and departure.
  • Assist guests with directions, luggage, or other needs as appropriate.
  • Deliver clear instructions on how the valet process works.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and resolve concerns quickly and politely.

Vehicle Handling

  • Safely drive, park, and retrieve guest vehicles in a timely manner.
  • Operate all types of vehicles (manual and automatic) in varying weather and traffic conditions with care and follow all traffic, parking, and safety laws.
  • Verify vehicle condition upon intake and note any existing damages.
  • Ensure keys are properly labeled, stored, and secured at all times. Ensure vehicles are locked at all times.

Operational Support

  • Maintain a clean and organized valet stand and surrounding areas.
  • Coordinate with other valet staff and supervisors to manage vehicle flow.
  • Follow company procedures for handling tickets, payments, and tips (if applicable).
  • Report any accidents, incidents, damages, or unusual and suspicious activity to management immediately.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record.
  • Highschool diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to drive both manual (stick shift) is a plus.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with professionalism.
  • Physical ability to run, stand, and move quickly for extended periods.
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally (luggage or minor assistance)
  • Physically able to bend, stoop and reach as needed.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • You are required to pass a motor vehicle record check, background check and drug test.
Working Conditions
  • Outdoor and indoor work environment, subject to weather conditions.
  • Requires frequent walking, running, bending, and standing.
  • Evening, weekend, and holiday availability as needed.
