POSITION SUMMARY: The Valet Attendant is the first and last impression that Members and guests have of the Club. It is imperative that he/she creates a warm, welcoming and professional image for all as they arrive at the Club. The Valet Attendant ensures that all guests that arrive at the Club are greeted quickly and warmly. All vehicles that are left in our care are treated carefully and professionally. We treat all Members and Guests graciously and at all times taking responsibility for all vehicles left in their care by performing the following duties:


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greets and welcomes Members and guests according to RPYCC standards.
  • Opens car doors for all drivers. Opens car doors for passengers whenever staffing levels allow.
  • Takes responsibility of all cars left in the Club’s possession. Safely parks and retrieves cars according to RPYCC standards.
  • Greets Members by name whenever possible.
  • Opens doors to the Country Club and Yacht Club and assists with any packages if time allows.
  • Knows the activities taking place at the Club in order to answer questions or to direct Members and guests as they arrive.
  • Checks the “Red Book” at the start of each shift in order to know what activities are taking place and which ramps to open
  • Inspects parking areas and reports any needed repairs or potential hazards.
  • Documents any accidents or incidents and reports them to the Valet Supervisor and Clubhouse Manager immediately.
  • Maintains cleanliness at the porte-cochere and surrounding areas.
  • Assists with the shuttle service to transport Members and guests when necessary.
  • Relays any compliments, complaints or suggestions to the Clubhouse Manager.
  • Conducts all communication in professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintains a professional appearance in accordance to the RPYCC grooming standards.
  • Adheres to Royal Palm’s policies and procedures.
  • Remains alert, courteous and helpful to Members and guests at all times.
  • Drives employee shuttle to and from apartment complex as scheduled.
  • Performs any other related duties as requested by the Housekeeping/Laundry/Valet Manager, Assistant General Manager or General Manager.

Education / Experience

  • High School Degree or G.E.D.
  • One year prior valet experience at a private club
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Friendly and service oriented

Qualifications

  • Must be able to effectively communicate in person and on radio

Certifications

  • Valid driver’s license

Other

  • Must be able to work a variable schedule, weekends and holidays
