Senior Systems Engineer (Vacuum Systems and Design)Job Description

Brooks is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to be part of our growing Automation Engineering team, based in Chelmsford, MA.

Design: creates architecture for new Vacuum SEMI platforms; in-depth knowledge of product line and application; multi-disciplinary (can speak to all the engineering disciplines); can predict development schedule.

Customer Interaction: independent and constant customer interaction; translates customer needs into a Brooks product.

Mentoring: acts in a mentor role to all engineers.

Innovation: develops truly unique technical solutions to customer needs. Leads others to seek better ways of doing things. Generates breakthrough solutions and enables others to do the same. Draws on unexpected or seemingly unrelated ways of thinking. Operates from a framework of possibility; cultivates an environment of idea generation

Builds an Accountable and Collaborative Culture: Builds and models a culture of Teamwork and Employee Value, where questioning and constructive challenge are the standard to foster openness and candid dialogue. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Assume a high level of complex and/or critical assignments within the Systems Product Engineering team.

  • Project leadership for system/companywide projects requiring cross organizational teams.

  • Plan/manage integration and implementation of new technologies.

  • Recognized as an internal authority and expert in the discipline and related fields, and is sought after as such.

  • Apply advanced concepts and contributes to advancing company products and processes to achieve organizational objectives in a creative and effective manner.

  • Work on unique and complex problems due to the knowledge of advanced principles and techniques.

  • Interact, present to and influence all levels of management.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Bachelor/Master's Degree in related Engineering discipline.

  • 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in vacuum systems and design within the Semiconductor / Automation industry.

  • 3D modeling skills. Creo preferred.

  • Customer interactions and International travel may be expected.

Compensation

Base Salary Range: $118,265.18 USD to $160,005.83 USD

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
