Restoration Project Manager / Carpenter – Property Damage Restoration

Location: Sheboygan, WI (On-site)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Restoration Project Manager / Carpenter to lead residential and commercial property restoration projects resulting from fire, water, mold, storm, and other catastrophic losses.

This position combines project management, field leadership, and customer service. The ideal candidate has a strong background in mitigation and restoration, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage projects from initial inspection through successful completion. You will serve as the primary point of contact for property owners, insurance representatives, and internal teams while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage residential, commercial, and industrial restoration projects involving fire, water, mold, storm, and other property damage.
  • Perform on-site inspections and accurately document project conditions and scope of work.
  • Coordinate mitigation, reconstruction, and restoration activities from project start through completion.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for property owners, tenants, insurance carriers, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining regular communication and project updates.
  • Develop project schedules, coordinate subcontractors, and manage field crews.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and in accordance with quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress and resolve issues quickly to minimize delays.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, field reports, photographs, and job records.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Assist with estimating, scope reviews, and change orders when necessary.
  • Support business development by identifying opportunities to provide additional restoration services.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in property restoration, construction, mitigation, or related skilled trades.
  • Previous project management experience in restoration or construction.
  • Hands-on experience with water, fire, smoke, mold, or storm damage mitigation.
  • Strong understanding of residential and commercial construction practices.
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
