Job Description:

This is a full-time on-site role for a Property Manager for an affordable multifamily apartment community managed by ComCap Management. The Property Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the properties, ensuring resident satisfaction, managing leases, coordinating maintenance and repairs, and implementing marketing strategies to attract new tenants. This role will report directly to the regional manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the property, including leasing, maintenance, and resident relations.
  • Develop and implement property management procedures to enhance operational efficiency of the onsite team.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to affordable housing.
  • Manage budgets, financial reporting, and expense control to meet financial goals.
  • Conduct regular property inspections and coordinate maintenance and repairs, as needed.
  • Foster positive relationships with residents, addressing concerns and facilitating community engagement.
  • Manage a team including leasing and maintenance professionals to achieve occupancy goals and maintain high resident satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with our in-house compliance team to ensure all applications, recertifications and annual reports adhere to all regulatory requirements and are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Prepare and submit reports for owners and senior management regarding property performance and resident feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of multifamily property management experience including familiarity with Fair Housing laws and regulations.
  • Minimum of 3 years of LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) experience including knowledge of affordable housing compliance process and regulations.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing teams of two or more staff towards completion of team goals and priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of property management and financial reporting software such as RealPage OneSite or similar tools.
  • Strong knowledge of leasing process including effective strategies to market to and follow up with prospective residents; familiarity with leasing CRM systems like Anyone Home is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Certification in property management (e.g., SHCM, CAM, CPM) is a plus.
