Job description

Quality Control Home InspectorSeaside Vacation Homes | Seaside, Oregon

At Seaside Vacation Homes, consistency matters. Every home, every guest, every stay.

We manage over 100 vacation homes along the Oregon Coast and are looking for a Quality Control Home Inspector who takes pride in noticing the details others miss, solving problems before they become guest issues, and maintaining high property standards without needing constant oversight.

This is not a desk job and it's not a traditional hospitality management role. This position is built for someone who works independently, manages their time well, follows through, and takes ownership of outcomes.

If you naturally walk into a space and immediately notice what's out of place, this role may be a strong fit.

What You'll Do

• Inspect vacation homes daily to ensure cleanliness, presentation, maintenance, and guest readiness standards are consistently met
• Identify and resolve minor maintenance and quality issues independently in the field
• Complete light maintenance tasks including touch-up paint, light bulbs, door hardware adjustments, GFCI resets, supply corrections, and general property readiness items
• Verify homes are fully prepared prior to guest arrival
• Communicate larger maintenance concerns clearly and efficiently with the operations team
• Maintain organized documentation and follow-through on unresolved items
• Support consistency across all homes through proactive inspections and operational awareness
• Assist with homeowner and property care support as needed
• Operate independently across multiple properties while prioritizing quality and completion

What Success Looks Like

• Problems are identified before guests discover them
• Properties are consistently guest-ready
• Details are not overlooked
• Follow-through is dependable
• Issues are resolved quickly and correctly
• You can be trusted to operate independently without constant direction

You'll Thrive Here If You...

• Take pride in consistent, high-quality work
• Notice small details naturally
• Prefer solving problems instead of reporting them
• Manage your time well without micromanagement
• Follow through and finish what you start
• Stay calm, practical, and organized in the field
• Enjoy independent work with clear expectations and high standards
• Believe preparation and consistency matter

Qualifications

• Experience in property inspections, hospitality operations, maintenance, housekeeping quality control, construction, facilities, or related field preferred
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field
• Comfortable performing light maintenance and troubleshooting tasks
• Reliable communication and organizational skills
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb stairs, and move throughout properties daily
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying coastal weather conditions

What We Offer

• Full-time benefits including health insurance and paid vacation
• Company work vehicles provided while on the job
• All tools and equipment provided
• Ongoing education, certifications, and professional development
• Profit Sharing Retirement Program
• Opportunity to work with an experienced, established local company that values professionalism, accountability, and operational excellence

Run With The BEST.

At Seaside Vacation Homes, we trust capable people to take ownership, uphold standards, and help us deliver consistent quality across every property we manage.

VROPCO Drug Screen Disclaimer - Oregon Applicants

At VROPCO, we are committed to maintaining a safe, healthy, and productive workplace. As part of our employment process, all final candidates may be required to undergo a drug screening conducted in house onsite at our main location.

Please read the following carefully:

  1. Compliance with Oregon Law:
VROPCO complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including the Oregon Workplace Drug and Alcohol Testing laws (ORS 659A.300-659A.330). We ensure all drug screening is conducted in a fair, respectful, and confidential manner.

  2. Marijuana Use:
While recreational and medical marijuana use is legal in Oregon, marijuana remains a Schedule I controlled substance under federal law. For safety-sensitive positions or those governed by federal regulations, a positive test for THC may disqualify an applicant, regardless of state legality.

  3. Medical Conditions and Accommodations:
If you are taking any prescribed medications or have a medical condition that may affect your drug screening, please notify the Medical Review Officer (MRO) during the review process. Reasonable accommodations will be considered in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Oregon disability laws.

  4. Consent and Confidentiality:
Drug screening will not be conducted without your written consent. All results are kept strictly confidential and will only be shared with authorized personnel involved in the hiring process.

  5. Right to Retest and Appeal:
In accordance with Oregon law, if you test positive, you have the right to request a retest of your original sample at your own expense. Instructions for requesting a retest or appealing results will be provided with your lab report.

  6. Non-Discrimination:
VROPCO does not discriminate against applicants on the basis of lawful off-duty conduct, medical conditions, or disability status, consistent with applicable laws.

By continuing with the hiring process, you acknowledge and understand that a conditional offer of employment may be contingent upon the successful completion of a drug screen, and that refusal to test may result in withdrawal of the employment offer.

If you have any questions about our drug screening policy or your rights under Oregon law, please contact Human Resources at hr@vropco.com.
