Job description

HIRING ASAP - Property Inspector Role - Work by the beach! (San Diego, CA)

Spend your summer by the beach working with a fast-paced, high-performing vacation rental company. We’re hiring a Seasonal Property Inspector to help deliver exceptional guest experiences across our San Diego portfolio. Daily commute required as far north as Solana Beach and down along the coast to Ocean Beach. Required to meet in Pacific Beach at the start of each shift.

About the Role

We are a San Diego–based vacation rental company committed to creating a true “WOW” experience for our guests. Our team is cross-trained and collaborative, supporting operations across property inspections, light maintenance, guest services, and problem resolution.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being in the field, solving problems, and working hands-on in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-field inspections before and between guest stays
  • Prepare properties to meet company standards and guest expectations
  • Perform light maintenance and basic repairs as needed
  • Identify issues proactively and implement or recommend solutions
  • Communicate clearly and efficiently with team members and leadership
  • Support team operations across departments when needed
  • Provide occasional after-hours or on-call support

Basic Repair Skills Required

Candidates should be comfortable handling minor maintenance tasks, including:

  • Replacing doorknobs and locks
  • Light painting and touch-ups
  • Fixing toilet chain issues
  • Unclogging drains
  • Troubleshooting Wi-Fi, cable, and streaming services
  • Repairing furniture
  • Replacing HVAC filters
  • Installing portable a/c units
  • Replacing light bulbs
  • Repairing screen door tracks
  • Resetting garbage disposals
  • Resetting a tripper breaker
  • Addressing minor garage door malfunctions

Requirements

  • Full-time availability during peak summer season (Memorial Day–Labor Day)
  • Weekend availability required
  • Valid California driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle
  • High school diploma or equivalent (college experience a plus)
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, apps, similar tools)
  • Ability to perform physical, hands-on work in the field - sometimes lifting up to 50lbs

Property management experience is a plus, but not required.
