About Us:

Quinn Company is seeking a Rental Equipment Technician to support our rental fleet by inspecting, maintaining, and repairing Caterpillar and allied equipment. This role focuses on fast, high-quality turnaround to ensure rental machines are safe, reliable, and ready for customers.

Requirements:

  • Performs advanced diagnostics and complex repairs on Caterpillar and allied rental equipment
  • Inspect rental equipment upon return and prior to re-rental
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM services, fluids, filters, inspections)
  • Diagnoses and repairs mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
  • Identify damage or excessive wear and document findings
  • Prepare equipment to be rent-ready in a timely manner
  • Ensure all machines meet safety and compliance standards
  • Use Caterpillar diagnostic tools and service manuals
  • Support field service calls and shop as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • PM services, 90-day bits, ansi
  • Replacing or rebuilding parts like engines, transmissions, and hydraulics
  • Documenting repairs and service report
  • Responding to breakdowns at customer job sites
  • Swapping or repairing machines quickly to minimize downtime
  • Ability to operate equipment and function test machines
  • Follows all safety rules and maintains quality housekeeping in work area
  • Adhere to manager’s and lead mechanic’s directions regarding all repairs and service calls
  • Perform other work-related duties as directed or assigned 
  • Required to work overtime if needed

One-year certificate or Associates degree from a community college or technical school; Five plus year's heavy equipment experience or equivalent education and experience.
