Job description

B2 Constructors is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Construction Project Manager to lead federal and commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will own full project responsibility โ€” scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety โ€” while coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and government stakeholders.


RESPONSIBILITIES


Project Management

  • Own full project lifecycle: planning, execution, and closeout
  • Develop SOVs, Accident Prevention Plans, QC Plans, and Waste Management Plans
  • Build and maintain project schedules using MS Project or Primavera P6
  • Issue subcontractor/vendor POs and project-specific Terms & Conditions
  • Manage RFI logs, drawing revisions, submittals, and documentation control
  • Coordinate closely with Superintendents and site teams; travel to job sites as needed


Quality & Safety

  • Enforce compliance with OSHA, VA standards, and federal regulations
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk mitigation reviews


Closeout & Commissioning

  • Develop project-specific commissioning packages
  • Finalize punch lists and coordinate subcontractor completion
  • Submit final pay applications and deliver as-builts, warranties, and O&M manuals


Minimum Requirement:


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of commercial/industrial construction project management experience
  • Proven track record managing projects over $500K with multiple trades and subcontractors


Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Project and/or Primavera P6 for scheduling
  • Advanced MS Office Suite โ€” extensive Excel formulas required
  • Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings
  • Experience in budget management, cost control, and financial reporting


Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) certification
  • OSHA 30 Certification (within the last 5 years)
  • VA Hospital contracting experience, including VA safety protocols and compliance standards
  • Mechanical project management background
