The ABM technology team is seeking a Manager UX Designer who is passionate about creating functionally sound, inclusive user experiences for our internal and external clients. In this role, you will be embedded in a matrix UX team and primarily focused on a single product, while also supporting ad hoc requests for additional products as business needs arise. You will partner closely with product management, engineering, research, content, and analytics to define problems, explore solutions, and deliver high-quality web and mobile experiences. This role has high visibility to partners within the organization and requires strong collaboration, prioritization, and communication skills.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 

  • Professional education in marketing, visual design, interactive design, UX/UI, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
  • Experience working in a cross-functional, matrixed environment supporting multiple stakeholders and product areas
  • 7+ years of experience in product design
  • 3+ years of experience in research
  • 7+ years of user experience evaluation
  • 7+ years of professional experience with Figma
  • Working knowledge of front-end constraints (e.g., HTML/CSS and modern frameworks) to collaborate effectively with engineers
  • Experience using onboarding and analytics tools
  • Broad perspective, experience working with or being part of design teams  
  • Experience in service design and content strategy, and research  
  • Experience planning and/or partnering on research to validate concepts, prototypes, and design direction
  • Experience supporting UX  
  • Experience in web and mobile-first design approaches.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Comfortable working in agile or waterfall methodology
  • Portfolio showing current expertise in web, mobile, and responsive UX and UI trends with ample background in rudimentary design skills

  • Partner with product and engineering to frame problems, define success metrics, and translate requirements into user-centered experiences

  • Facilitate design reviews and working sessions; manage design intake, scope, and timelines to ensure requirements are understood and met

  • Create user flows, IA, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI as needed moving quickly for ad hoc asks while maintaining quality and design system consistency

  • Communicate design rationale to stakeholders; incorporate feedback and align decisions across teams and products

  • Collaborate with research (or lead lightweight research) to understand user needs, validate concepts, and inform design decisions

  • Plan and conduct usability testing (or partner with researchers) and translate insights into iterative improvements

  • Collaborate with engineering and data teams on feasibility, implementation details, and design handoff to ensure high-quality delivery

  • Advocate cohesive experiences across products by leveraging and contributing to shared patterns, guidelines, and the design system

  • Contribute to design systems, shared patterns, and scalable solutions

  • Mentor and support peers through feedback, collaboration, and example-setting

  • Help shape how the team works-not just what we deliver
