Job description

Candidates MUST be WI residents or willing to relocate to WI at their own expense prior to starting. This position can work 100% remotely (within the state of WI).

 

This is a critical design position needed to drive the development and support of the IRIS 2.0 modernization project, a full replacement of the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation's case management system. Candidates will play an integral role on self  directed project teams working on this high priority development project.


Project work will include: reviewing the legacy IRIS system, working with users and business analysts to understand business requirements, design new workflows for the modern system, redesign exisitng workflows, wireframe and prototype ideas, conduct usability research, champion modern design principles in our development, conduct usability, accessibility, workflow, and integration testing, provide guidance on issues pertaining to user experience, desig beautiful and usable UI components, including
leveraging our material design library, to provide a modern, easy-to-use system for DVR users. Successful candidates will have demonstrated success in designing beautiful, accessible, and intuitive web applications.

Top Required Skills & Years of Experience:

  • 1. Experience as a lead designer in an development project, preferably involving modernization of technology, as well as working with a cross-functional team to redesign and simplify UX and workflows to meet modern application design standards, using a material design library and component framework, such as MudBlazor - 2 years experience.
  • 2. Experience creating wireframes/prototypes and iterating over them with cross-functional stakeholders - 4 years experience.
  • 3. Experience creating personas and testing designs against the personas - 4 years experience.
  • 4. Knowledgable of modern code implementations, US web design standards, and product strategy - 4 years experience.

Nice to Have Skills:
