RAAS provides a solution and support for local, emerging, and direct-to-consumer (DTC) businesses to open their own storefronts. RAAS lowers the barrier of entry for brands by offering turnkey Studio Shops in larger communal spaces combined with technology, experiences, and a built-in community of retailers and shoppers.

Job Description

We are looking for a Full Time UX/UI Designer with a strong interest in design and development of engaging user experiences for consumers and small businesses on web and mobile. The ideal candidate has a passion and talent for all aspects of the design process, from user research, to interaction and visual design.

The designer should deliver outstanding quality of designs but can also aggressively prioritize, ship quickly, and iterate. Ideal candidate should thrive in a fast-paced, agile & lean setting in which data takes a crucial place in informing learnings and iterations. We foster a collaborative environment in which ideas are shared and feedback is welcomed and the ideal candidate should be able to participate and contribute to a productive debate.

This is a unique opportunity to be one of the first 15 hires of the company and join a team that is led by a seasoned serial entrepreneur, with a unique background in SaaS and retail, as our Founder and CEO. This is a full-time position in our New York office.

Qualifications

What you'll do:

  • Lead the user experience and interaction design of our consumer facing digital properties (web and mobile) as well as dashboards for internal and external clients.
  • Design and produce user interfaces and interaction design specifications using participatory and iterative design techniques including stakeholder interviews, usability testing, and other forms of discovery
  • Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas and detailed design rationale
  • Execute in a fast-paced and highly unstructured startup environment where thought and initiative are valued

Who you are:

  • 3+ years of full time experience as a user experience or interaction designer, or similar role. Prior experience in visual design is a BIG PLUS
  • An exceptional portfolio of (shipped) mobile product designs that showcases your visual and interaction design talents
  • Ability to self-manage multiple projects, deadlines and deliverables
  • Wide experience with visual design and prototyping tools (including Photoshop, illustrator)
  • Strong knowledge of interaction design processes and methodology, particularly as applied to web & mobile products
  • Ability to understand customer needs, motivations and behaviors and translate them into actionable deliverables
