POSITION DETAILS

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience and education

POSITION OVERVIEW
JOB SUMMARY:
• Primarily assigned to the MSN Family Nurse Practitioner program as the FNP Program Director and will teach in the classroom, and clinical settings on the Pensacola campus and at local community partner locations.
• Use of technology in the classroom and online, and teaching students in a broad range of clinical settings that align with the faculty member's expertise.
• This position may be assigned to teach in other School of Nursing programs as assigned or other areas the department needs direct.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Earned a doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DNP) in nursing, education, or a health-related field from an accredited institution, with a master's or bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
• Holds an unrestricted Florida license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or eligible for licensure as a Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
• Holds an active Family Nurse Practitioner certification.
• Three years' work experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience teaching nursing students in the classroom and clinical setting.
• The ability to incorporate evidence-based teaching strategies for higher education into course delivery.
• Familiarity with the American Association of Colleges of Nursing Essentials and National Task Force recommendations
• Experience with curriculum development at the graduate level.
• Knowledge and understanding of the FNP certification test plans.
• Experience in the use of technology in distance learning & university teaching.
• Interest in collaborating both within and outside the University in the development and delivery of instruction resulting in improved student learning.
• Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in nursing education or healthcare.

The position requires a criminal background check, a current unrestricted Florida license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or must be eligible for licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Florida and meeting all clinical site requirements through the School of Nursing onboarding process.
