UV technicians are professionals who specialize in the installation, maintenance, and repair of ultraviolet (UV) light systems. These systems are commonly used for water and air purification, surface disinfection, and in various industrial processes. UV technicians ensure that the UV equipment operates safely and effectively by performing routine inspections, replacing bulbs, and troubleshooting issues. They may work in hospitals, water treatment plants, laboratories, or manufacturing facilities. Specialized training in handling UV technology and safety protocols is typically required.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a UV technician?

To thrive as a UV Technician, you need knowledge of UV curing processes, safety procedures, and a relevant technical background such as a certificate or associate degree in electronics or industrial technology. Familiarity with UV measurement tools, curing systems, and specialized safety equipment is typically required.
