About Greater Georgia Behavioral Health
Greater Georgia Behavioral Health is launching Groundwork, a new Adolescent Afterschool Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) based in Fayetteville, GA. The program is built around structured, recovery-oriented, trauma-informed care for adolescents ages 12 to 17.
The Opportunity
Greater Georgia Behavioral Health is looking for a Program Director / Lead Clinician to open and lead Groundwork from the ground up. This full-time, in-person leadership role suits an experienced clinician ready to run day-to-day operations, supervise staff, uphold compliance and safety standards, and carry the program from launch onward. The role includes 24/7 on-call availability for emergencies and program continuity, with a target start date of ASAP ahead of program launch.
What You'll Do
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the adolescent IOP, ensuring the program runs efficiently within a structured, recovery-oriented environment
  • Lead operational functions including scheduling, program flow, staff coordination, and supplies and resources; proactively resolve operational challenges to maintain continuity of care
  • Report regularly to clinical and executive leadership on operations, staffing, and service delivery, including prompt and accurate reporting of concerns, incidents, and service interruptions
  • Maintain 24/7 on-call availability for urgent matters and after-hours support
  • Provide administrative oversight of clinical, case management, and recovery support staff; support staff in meeting documentation, compliance, and performance expectations
  • Foster teamwork, accountability, and professional development among staff
  • Ensure administrative processes support seamless, ethical, trauma-informed, person-centered care and program integrity
  • Serve as Compliance, QA, and Safety Officer: ensure full compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards; oversee daily safety protocols, routine safety checks, audits, policy development, and quality improvement
  • Lead emergency response, de-escalation, and coordination of emergency transport during critical incidents
  • Provide clinical leadership, including PHP/IOP program operations, adolescent DBT-A, CBT, trauma-focused (TF-CBT), and family systems approaches, clinical supervision of associate-licensed staff, utilization review and commercial payor medical necessity, KPI management, and adolescent risk assessment and safety planning

Requirements
What You Bring
  • Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related behavioral health field
  • Independent Georgia clinical licensure in good standing: LPC, LCSW, or LMFT
  • Board-approved clinical supervisor status, or eligibility, preferred
  • CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days of hire
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years in substance use disorder treatment or behavioral health services; prior management or supervisory experience required
  • 3+ years of post-graduate clinical experience with adolescents and families preferred

Preferred
  • Certification or intensive training in DBT-A or TF-CBT
  • Adolescent IOP program leadership experience
  • Knowledge of financial practices, reporting, and budget oversight
  • Familiarity with public relations and community engagement in behavioral health systems
  • Experience with KIPU EMR
  • Joint Commission survey readiness
  • School and referral-partner liaison experience

Benefits
Compensation and Schedule
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 annually
Schedule: Full-TimeOnsiteMonday through Friday, 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, plus 24/7 on-call availability
