Watson Civil Construction, Inc. is a heavy/highway contractor working throughout Florida specializing in large site infrastructure, underground, and road work. We are a fast-growing company and are currently looking for a Project Superintendent in the Naples area.The primary role of the Superintendent will be to lead and manage all field operations on their assigned projects, including but not limited to, supervising foreman, managing subcontractors and vendors, quality control, safety management, and equipment utilization and coordination.QualificationsPrevious supervisory experience on FDOT projectsKnowledgeable of all aspects of construction including underground utilities, grading, earthwork, and roadworkAbility to manage multiple projects concurrentlyMOT certified Worksite Traffic SupervisorOSHA certified competent personStrong leadership and communication skillsJob DescriptionEnsures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the client.Evaluates specifications to plan procedures, starting and completion times, and staffing requirements for each phase of construction.Orders procurement of tools, equipment, and materials to be delivered to conform to work schedules.Confers with and directs supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays.Collaborates with management, engineering personnel, inspectors, and suppliers to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods.Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules.Prepares or reviews reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated.Conducts construction activities within federal, state, and local environmental rules and regulations.Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.Enforces all safety policies with foreman, crews, and subcontractors on site.Interviews, hires, and trains site employees on job function and safety standards.Plans, assigns, and directs work assignments for employees.Handles employee evaluations, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions.Assume additional responsibilities as directed by corporate management.Salary and BenefitsWatson Civil offers competitive salaries and benefits along with a challenging work environment with growth opportunity.
