Utility Project Manager
Location: Hybrid / Client Sites as Needed โ€“ Philadelphia and South Jersey Area
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role
ExecuPOWER is seeking a Utility Project Manager to lead and support electric utility projects across Distribution Engineering and Construction. This role is responsible for managing project scope, schedule, budget, safety, and stakeholder communication throughout the full project lifecycle.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who can effectively manage multiple projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure successful project delivery while maintaining strong client relationships.

What You'll Do
Project Leadership
  • Lead and facilitate project meetings with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders
  • Develop, maintain, and execute project management plans throughout the project lifecycle
  • Support projects through business case development, capital approval, execution, and closeout
Project Controls & Coordination
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and resource planning
  • Coordinate communication and provide status updates to stakeholders and leadership
  • Track project performance and ensure alignment with established timelines and objectives
Risk Management
  • Assess project risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies
  • Manage Requests for Information (RFIs), action items, and issue resolution activities
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Engineering teams to ensure schedules, budgets, and deliverables remain on track
  • Coordinate internal resources and external contractors to support successful project execution
Client & Program Support
  • Support large and complex utility transmission, distribution, and substation projects
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with client expectations

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in a Business, Engineering, or Technical discipline
  • 3โ€“7 years of utility project management experience in Distribution projects
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle management, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP Certification (completed or in progress)
  • Experience using:ย 
    • Microsoft Project
    • Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    • Utility or engineering project management systems
